Today’s topic…
This is almost a vanity metric, without considering some of the specs we’ve just talked about like motor type, and torque.
RPM stands for rotations per minute.
I personally don’t need anything spinning higher than 30,000 RPMs for any type of manicure service. The higher the speed, the less room for error, and imagine you are using a sanding band or any other flat top at that speed, one wrong swipe and you will be slicing skin open.
Maybe for pedicures and reducing calluses, 35,000 rpm and higher makes sense.
20,000 rpms in an efile is usually sufficient, but up to 30,000 is ideal, especially if you will be working on harder enhancements like acrylic or acrygel products.
