I could’ve done a much better job with this design, but at least I can show you exactly how to do it—mistakes and all! You can use any stamping design you want for this method, so make it your own.

I started with two coats of black gel polish, curing for 60 seconds between each coat. Then I applied a no-wipe matte gel top coat—this part is important! It has to be no-wipe for the pigments to stick properly.

Next, I used a clear jelly stamper and an eyeshadow applicator to apply Rolio neon pigments. Use a clean side of the applicator for each color to keep them bright and clean. Once all the colors were down, I used a brand-new clean side to gently blend them together.

For the stamping, I used white stamping polish and picked a design from my stamping plate. I applied the white polish over the design and used an old gift card to scrape the excess—gift cards are sharper and give a cleaner swipe than typical scrapers. Make sure to scrape firmly to reveal the design clearly.

Now here’s the tricky part: you need to pick up the stamping design using your neon-pigmented jelly stamper quickly and apply it directly onto the matte nail without hesitation. If you wait too long, the stamping polish dries and won’t transfer well—this is what happened to me in the video, so you’ll notice some gaps in the design.

After stamping, finish with two coats of no-wipe gel top coat, curing for 60 seconds each.
