Create dimensional fall nails using Synergy Hard Gel, sheer metallic gel polish, mylar, glitter, and layered color techniques.
In this tutorial, we start by sculpting stiletto extensions with Synergy Hard Gel and Concealer Peach, then build a clear extension for an embedded dimensional nail design.
You’ll learn how to properly use Base Gel for adhesion, build structure with hard gel, control your gel based on room temperature, and create a strong connection between the natural nail and sculpted extension.
Then we’re using the HeatWave Collection — Spitfire Drop, Pluckucky Romeo, Bloom to Speed, and Ballerina Bullseye — to create a swirled fall design with sheer metallic color.
We’ll add Chunky Chunks Mylar and Hope Scream City glitter for extra dimension, seal everything into the nail, and encapsulate the design with Build Pink to make the colors and glitter pop.
You’ll also see how these sheer metallic colors change depending on the base underneath them. Over an opaque nude they appear more metallic, while over a clear nail they stay translucent and glass-like.
Finally, we recreate the dimensional color effect on TOP of the nail for an easier design that can be changed out later, then compare high-shine and matte finishes.
